Alain Pérez is one of the kings of Timba, in my humble opinion (Timba is basically a more modern and funky version of Salsa music). Cuban born and currently residing in Spain, Alain is not just an astounding bassist but plays just about every instrument there is (and plays them well). He also now leads his own group as a lead vocalist. He can be found on a multitude of albums and is definitely worth deep diving down the YouTube rabbit hole for.
