I first discovered Fima when somebody showed me the “Screaming Headless Torsos” back in the 90’s and that first album flipped me out (check out the first video below). Fima is a NYC heavy and has truly played with just avout everyone there. I’ve only seen him live once, with Wayne Krantz at the famed 55 Bar and man. He’s the consummate bassist. His playing is rock solid, never over the top but always has everything you want to hear. Creative, supportive and never derivative.

He’s unique, but not overly overt in his approach. Just take a quick glance at his credits using the website link below. It speaks for itself.
