Bobby’s first gig was recording on Sly Stone’s “I Get High On You”… at 16!

A legend in the San Francisco Bay Area (and beyond), he has played with a enormous range of musicians and bands. Many know him from his time subbing for Rocco Prestia with Tower of Power while Rocco was on an extended medical leave.

The dude can do it all.

Bobby has enjoyed some wide-spread recognition over the past few years due to his hyper-funky picking technique. Seriously, if you haven’t heard him groove with a pick, you’re in for a treat. We’ve operated in similar circles (I’ve played in a few bands that he was a part of) and he’s always been an incredibly kind and supportive guy (but man… those are some seriously big shoes to fill!).

Enjoy the videos below. Personally, I can’t get enough of Bobby’s groove and musicality.

Nothing to prove and everything to say….. That sums up how I feel when I listen to this man play the bass.

This is the video that blew many minds (at least those who weren’t already in the know. :-)
