Brazilian born and global in perspective and influence, Munir Hossn is simply one of the baddest cats out there. Equally adept on guitar and bass (and percussion), he has spent years touring with various world class artists of every genre on both instruments. I first discovered Munir on social media while he was living in Paris and he completely flipped me out. Now residing in Los Angeles (and taken under wing by Quincy Jones), Munir continues to defy boundaries.
One of the things that I love about Munir is that, for all of his technical proficiency and pyro-technic abilities, his albums (as well as his guest appearances and more production based projects) are hyper-musical and, quite simply, lovely to listen to.
Personally, Munir has become a bit of a musical hero of mine.
