Gail is best known for her having played with David Bowie for over 20 years. She’s not just a consummate side-woman but also a fantastic vocalist (she can be heard singing Freddie Murcury’s parts on live versions of “Under Pressure”, for example).

She can also be heard with Lenny Kravitz, Indigo Girls, Charlie Watts and a long list of popular bands across the decades.

This is one of thoses bassists that is incredibly in demand and many haven’t heard of but should absolutely be aware of.
