I only just became aware of Hagar Ben-Ari (although I’m pretty sure that I’ve heard her play a number of times on recordings and at music festivals). Israeli born and New York residing since 2003, she has toured with the Pimps of Joytime, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Moby and has worked with Reggie Watts quite a bit as well as being the house bassist for The Late Late Show with James Cordon.

Hagar is all about the pocket and is my kind of player. Super tasty, supportive and also knows how to step up and stand out when it’s time. I think you’ll dig this small collection of YouTube videos.
